I’m Laura Stewart, an independent journalist based in the Fruit Streets of Brooklyn Heights.

Pineapple Street covers local news and civic affairs in Brooklyn Heights — the people, places and things that shape our community.

I’ve worked as a reporter in local and investigative newsrooms, covering everything from neighborhood events to statewide government programs. I’m just as interested in a neighborhood dog show as I am in a landlord’s wrongdoing.
